VIVIAN PLISZKA (nee MCRAE) Peacefully at the Portage General Hospital, Portage la Prairie, on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the age of 90 years, Vivian Mabel Pliszka passed away. Vivian was predeceased by her husband Nicholas. Left to cherish Vivian's memory are her children; Bill (Jonita) of Portage la Prairie, John (Susan) of Vernon, BC, Marie Adamson (Ken) of Winnipeg, her grandchildren: Todd, Chris, Meghan, Kyle, Scott and Jackie, her great-grandchildren; Elizabeth, Alexis, Kyla, Nicholas and Jackson. Vivian was born on April 21, 1921 at her family homestead in Wellwood, MB. She married Nick on August 2, 1947 in Portage la Prairie and there they raised their family. Vivian was a dedicated, caring, loving and generous wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rizk, the staff at the Portage General Hospital and the staff, home care workers and many friends at Regency House for their care, compassion and many acts of kindness. Special thanks to Linda, Steini and Maureen for their love.
